I’ve actually bought a few Christmas gifts already! Yeah, I’m a last minute shopper – but not by choice. I have to do it when I have the time/energy and unfortunately I don’t have much of either this time of year
I received a gift I bought in the mail today and I am so thrilled with it! I bought one for me (of course) and one for someone else – now I’m thinking about buying more after seeing these!

It’s from Etsy.com and the seller is ScribbleIt. I think I ordered them on Sunday and I have them in my hot little hands today! Very impressed with the whole transaction
It does *not* come with ribbon, but that’s fine – I would rather pick my own ribbon out anyway! She sends instructions on how to apply the vinyl lettering and the ribbon to the piece of tin – so easy! They are also online at www.scribbleitonline.com .
Go! Go! Go!!! Buy some now, you won’t be sorry
A friend found this today and I think I need to order some for when I send off my Christmas packages, so cute!!
Parking: Not too shabby
Weather: Too hot for November. I wouldn’t have gone if I had paid attention to the weather on the news.
Crowd: Overall, pretty rude. Someone almost knocked my friend Dianthe over (she’s also very pregnant, so that makes it doubly bad). The rude lady got some looks from my friends, and possibly a few single fingers.
Food: Excellent! I got my strawberry water that no one else liked. Good, that means more for me. We also got kettle corn to take home
Stuff we bought: Christmas decorations I didn’t need, Christmas decorations that my sister DID need, and a wall cross that Jess thinks she needed
We really didn’t buy that much!
I’m pooped. Time for bed!
I’m going to be spending this evening making 2 kinds of muffins for my friends to eat for breakfast tomorrow on the way to Canton. Here’s one of the recipes!
French Breakfast Muffins (from allrecipes.com)
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup white sugar 1/3 cup butter, melted
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/4 cup white sugar
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp. salt 1/3 cup butter,melted
1 egg, lightly beaten
Preheat oven to 350°. Grease muffin cups or line with paper muffin liners.
In a medium mixing bowl, stir together flour, 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder, nutmeg, and salt. Make a well in the center of the mixture. Stir together egg, milk, and 1/3 cup melted butter. Add egg mixture to four mixture; stir just until moistened (batter may be lumpy). Spoon batter into prepared muffin cups.
Bake in preheated oven 20-25 minutes. Meanwhile, combine 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon. When muffins are finished baking, dip tops of muffins in the melted butter, and then in the cinnamon sugar mixture. Serve warm.
Edited to add: The muffins were a hit! The pumpkin/chocolate chip ones were good, but the French Breakfast muffins stole the show
They were easy and YUMMY. I’ll be making them for Thanksgiving morning and Christmas morning
I’m going to Canton, TX this Sunday with a group of 8-10 girls – several of whom have never been before! It’s always a little overwhelming the first time, but hopefully they’ll all love it and find lots of cute things
Canton has First Monday Trade Days every month, and it’s so much fun to go out there when the weather is nice (which it should be on Sunday!). It’s about 1.5 hours east of Dallas on I-20, but it is so worth the drive. Of course, I have my favorite booths but I won’t push my beliefs on any of the girls this weekend.
I can’t wait!!! I’m hoping to find a few Christmas gifts there if I’m lucky.
